Bou Inania Madrasa

Bou Inania Madrasa is one of the major historic monuments of Fès el-Bali and one of the city’s finest examples of Marinid architecture. Built between 1350 and 1357, the madrasa is known for its richly decorated courtyard, carved cedar wood, sculpted stucco, zellij tilework, marble and onyx details. Its location near one of the principal approaches into the medina makes it an excellent introduction to the architectural heritage of Fez.
